The third of Josh Sperling's vase collaborations with Case Studyo, in which the looping, ridged forms of his shaped canvases become functional objects in porcelain. Each vase is a single open ring, its surface fluted like the layered plywood edges of his paintings, so that a few stems stand up from the center of a sculpture.
"Inspired by the cycle of life that dictates the pace of growth and decay, Sperling turns to the circle to celebrate the interaction of mankind and nature." Offered as the pair, one black and one white, from the edition of 150, each signed and numbered by the artist.
