A single red creature, all curls and tendrils, perched on the branch of a silver tree in a dark wood. Zolitaire is Kenny Scharf at his quietest: the cartoon energy of his Pop Surrealism held still, one of his invented beings alone in the night. The spray-like dark ground and the chrome-smooth trunks come straight from his painting of the same period.
Archival pigment print on heavy Crane Museo paper in an edition of only 50, signed, numbered and dated by the artist. Presented in a black floating shadow box frame with museum glass, ready to hang.
